Welcome
We are delighted that you would like to learn about the Liberty Point Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR). Furthermore, we are always honored to share information with those who are interested in the DAR, and we continually look for new opportunities to promote DAR objectives within our local community. Our members are committed to promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism. We enjoy our volunteer activities and are proud to make a difference in the lives of our community, state, and country.
In addition to our regular meetings, our chapter sponsors educational awards and scholarships. We support Crossnore Communities for Children and volunteer with our veterans. We honor our American Revolutionary War ancestors, recognize outstanding citizens in our area, and sponsor history essays.
Each member is a direct descendant of a Patriot of the American Revolutionary War.
Members placed over 1000 flags on veteran graves at local cemetery in preparation for Memorial Day.
Our regent and American History Chair present certificates and medals to essay contest winners.
