What We Do
We are dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America’s future through better education for children. Below are examples of activities listed in our three main areas of projects.
Promoting Patriotism
- Support Wreaths Across America and participation in wreath-laying ceremony
- Observe Veterans Day and participate in Veterans Day Parade
- Participate in naturalization and U.S. flag retirement ceremonies
- Provide comfort items to the Fayetteville VA Medical Center
- Support the Fort Bragg Armed Services YMCA
Liberty Point Chapter, NSDAR, co-hosted a flag retirement ceremony with the local SAR chapter.
Members participated in Wreaths Across America at Cross Creek Cemetery #1 after our annual Christmas coffee social.
Members collected socks and puzzles for the Fayetteville VA Medical Center.
Historic Preservation
- Support the National Society for the Preservation of NSDAR buildings
- Participate in local historic programs, tours, and events
- Transcribe records for the Patriot Records Project
Our chapter presented the America250! Commendation Medal and Certificate to the Cumberland County Public Library’s Local & State History Department staff for their work on The Voices of Resolve: The Patriots of Liberty Point.
Members attended the dedication ceremony for the Liberty Tree historical marker which commemorates the over 250-year-old Virginia live oak tree at Hay and Hillsboro streets in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Liberty Point Chapter, NSDAR, hosted a program on Moores Creek Battlefield highlighting its role in the American Revolution.
Education
- Sponsor American History Essay Contests for students in fifth to eighth grades
- Sponsor Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) Awards to cadets in high schools
- Sponsor DAR Good Citizens Essays for high school seniors

Support the Isham Blake Society Children of the American Revolution
- Support Crossnore Communities for Children
Our chapter awarded certificates and medals to students at local high schools, including Gray’s Creek High School in 2025.
Our chapter supports the Isham Blake Society Children of the American Revolution (C.A.R.).
Our chapter used grant funds to purchase books for local elementary schools.
